DECISION TIME FOR SHOREZONE
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) is expected to vote on the proposed new shorezone plan for Lake Tahoe in September. The proposal would profoundly impact the beauty, serenity, and water quality of Lake Tahoe by permiting thousands of new buoys, hundreds of new piers and slips, and many new boat ramps. Engine emissions and noise will be greatly increased without adequate protections for the Lake and those who use it.
