Will Schutte has been spending time at Lake Tahoe his entire life. During his professional career, Will worked as an executive in the media industry before embarking, mid-career, into the executive leadership consulting profession at a global firm. His work was concentrated in the media and technology sectors before shifting to the non-profit sector. In his current part-time practice, Will serves as an executive coach to non-profit leaders and advises their boards on matters of talent development and leadership succession.

For Will, all roads lead back to the Lake. As the great, great grandson of Tahoe pioneer D.L. Bliss, Will’s family heritage at Tahoe dates back to the 1860s. His deep roots at the Lake inform his passion for the League’s mission. He actively supports the League’s work to protect and restore environmental health, sustainability and scenic beauty. His commitment on the board is to give back to the place that has fed his soul since his earliest days at Lake Tahoe.
