The League to Save Lake Tahoe will share our deep experience in litter prevention during a panel discussion titled “The Power of Tech in Litter Abatement.”
By leveraging more than a decade’s worth of litter data gathered during thousands of cleanup events, the League has identified sources of litter and pushed for preventative solutions. Those include local bans on frequently littered items like single-use plastic water bottles, and bringing beach-cleaning robots to pluck tiny pieces of plastic out of Tahoe’s sandy shores.
We’re always excited to share lessons we’ve learned in Tahoe because they can help other destinations protect their treasured outdoor spaces.
