Lake-lovers leaving Reno can book a seat on Reno Transportation Commission shuttles bound for Incline Village and Sand Harbor. Tickets are $5 one way, with an additional $2 fee to get you to Sand Harbor. Feel free to bring your summer beach gear with you. Shuttles run seven days a week, 7 am – 9 pm. Use the Tahoe bike map to find trails and bike parking, and to plan your route.

South Shore

RIDE LAKE LINK
Lake Link is the South Shore's free microtransit shuttle service, which the League helped bring to life. It's like Uber, but the rides are shared and completely free. Download the app and let someone else drive you to destinations across Stateline and South Lake Tahoe.
HOP ON AN AN E-SCOOTER
Download the Lime smartphone app to find a scooter anywhere in South Lake Tahoe during the summer. You must be 18 to ride, you cannot ride on sidewalks, must pay attention to the restricted areas like Heavenly Village, and be safe and courteous to pedestrians, bikes, and cars. Be a roll model!
TRY THE BUS
Use the Tahoe Transportation District's public bus service. TTD offers daily service across Tahoe’s south shore with regular connections to the Carson Valley and Carson City, Nevada. If you're headed to Sand Harbor, avoid the parking nightmare and take the bus from the Kingsbury depot on the south shore.
TO AND FROM THE RENO AIRPORT
The South Tahoe Airporter operates daily shuttle service to and from the Reno Tahoe International Airport. Tickets can be purchased on southtahoeairporter.com. Season passes for frequent travelers are available. Shuttles pick up and drop off at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe, Edgewood Tahoe, Harveys Lake Tahoe, Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, Harrah’s Lake Tahoe and Montbleu Resort Hotel Casino and Spa.

North Shore

TRY THE BUS
Ride a Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit (TART) bus between Donner Lake in Truckee, Tahoma on the west shore, and Incline Village on the north shore, with dozens of stops in between. TART runs at hourly and 30-minute service intervals. Hop on the bus to be car-free and carefree.
FREE, ON-DEMAND RIDES
Hop on a free, app-based, door-to-door shuttle. The TART Connect smart phone app can be used to request a rideshare van in three service areas: Kings Beach, Tahoe City to Sugar Pine, and Crystal Bay-Incline Village. This “microtransit” service is like Uber or Lyft – they pick up within 15 minutes or less and go anywhere within the service area – but with shared rides and no cost to you.
TO AND FROM THE RENO AIRPORT
Take advantage of regular, scheduled service between Reno-Tahoe International Airport and the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee region with easy access to local transit connections.
