The League is proud to present at the first Leave No Trace Global Summit, an international gathering of leaders, researchers, advocates, members, and engaged Leave No Tracers with the goal of exchanging ideas, sharing sustainability work and training efforts, advancing the science and so much more.

The League’s Sr. Community Engagement Manager Marilee Movius will give a talk titled “Tackling Litter: Community engagement, data collection and policy solutions.”

She’ll share how the League’s cleanup events and volunteer programs were created in response to Lake Tahoe’s litter challenges, and how they’re proven effective at raising awareness, driving volunteerism, removing pollution, and critically, generating data that has been leveraged to create policy solutions.
