One of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the region, this free community event will take place at The Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11 am – 5 pm on Saturday, April 26. The event gives kids and adults the opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy.
Stop by the Keep Tahoe Blue booth to learn how you can help protect the Lake, and to participate in our fun, hands-on activity to receive a cool prize!
Are you interested in volunteering to help us at our booth? You can sign up for one of the available shifts below. Sign up here.
Shift 1: 10:30 am – 1 pm
Shift 2: 1 pm – 3 pm
Shift 3: 3 pm – 5:30 pm
This event is a community tradition to learn about sustainable products and services offered by local organizations and businesses, meet with local nonprofits that share Earth Day values (like the League!), and to showcase local musicians, artists, and entertainers. Our goal is to connect the community with the people and resources in our region that foster innovation, initiate change, and ultimately implement an equitable partnership for a greener planet.
This year, the Earth Day Festival will include:
- A multitude of educational booths on the topics of watershed health, forest health, pollution prevention,
alternative energy, waste management, and more - Kids Learning and Activity Area
- All day entertainment & live music
