The League is proud to present at the Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care’s Wild Wonders Learning Series, a free bi-weekly series of engaging wildlife presentations, special speakers and family friendly activities.

The League’s Sr. Community Engagement Manager Marilee Movius will give a talk titled “Tackling Litter: Community engagement, data collection and change to protect wildlife.”

She’ll share how the League’s cleanup events and volunteer programs were created in response to Lake Tahoe’s litter challenges, and how they’re proven effective at raising awareness, driving volunteerism, removing pollution, and critically, generating data that has been leveraged to create policy solutions.
