Senator Catherine Cortez Masto hosted the first-ever virtual and 24th Annual Lake Tahoe Summit, entitled “Resilient Tahoe.” David Wise, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Reno native, joined as the keynote speaker for this year’s virtual summit to speak about building resilience in the Tahoe community and environment – so Tahoe can weather any challenge.

Senator Cortez Masto was joined by members of Nevada’s and California’s congressional delegations and governors, as well as scientists and conservationists. The Summit focused on the success of public-private partnerships to protect Lake Tahoe, highlight 50 years of bi-state cooperation and 24 years of bipartisan collaboration by stakeholders, and convene a conversation on the challenges confronting the Tahoe Basin during the COVID-19 crisis and in the future.
