SPOONER SUMMIT, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Thousands of people are making their way to Lake Tahoe for the 4th of July, hundreds of them are hoping to get their boats in the water.
“We’re standing in line this long, but I mean you know this year’s different, its COVID,” says San Diego resident Jackie Weston.”
At Spooner Summit’s boat inspection site roughly 60 different groups with boats waited for hours to get their boats inspected. Some people said they got there at 6:30 in the morning and still had to wait at least six hours for an inspection.
