SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — The Fourth of July weekend is one of the busiest times of the year in the Tahoe Basin, but state park officials said this year they’re seeing an estimated 30% more tourists than expected
“The Tahoe Basin, as a whole, has had an increase of visitation every year for the past 15 years,” California State Park Superintendent Matt Green said.“But especially in this COVID-19 environment and with some areas closing, we’re seeing more intensity, more visitation.”
