More than $8 million has been raised since the first Lake Tahoe license plates were sold in February 1998, according to the Nevada Division of State Lands.
This month marks the 20th anniversary of the plate, which has funded more than 145 preservation and restoration projects in the Lake Tahoe Basin.
There are more than 19,400 Tahoe license plates on the road in Nevada.
