Anne Harper
Anne is a producer and guest host with NPR-affiliate KALW in San Francisco (91.7 FM). Prior to producing public radio, she practiced law for many years, most recently as a litigator with the nonprofit environmental law firm Earthjustice. Anne served twice on the League’s Board, from 1998-2016 and again from 2020-2022, including a term as Board President from 2004-2008. She first worked with the League during the 1997 Presidential Summit, when President Clinton and Vice President Gore visited Lake Tahoe and promised federal support for the protection of the Lake. She later assisted Senator Dianne Feinstein’s office pro bono in drafting the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act, enacted in 2000, which has brought over $2.3 billion in federal funding to projects protecting Lake Tahoe over the past two decades.
Anne also serves as a trustee of the Bay School in San Francisco and on the Alumnae Leadership Council of Duke University Law School. Anne has a BA in International Relations from Colgate University, a JD and LLM in Comparative and International Law from Duke University, and a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. She lives in Mill Valley with her husband, Rick Ronald, and their three children.
