Brenda Aguilar Fernandez
As Development Coordinator for the League, Brenda provides direct support to the CEO, Development Director, and Board of Directors to achieve the organization’s fundraising goals. In her role, Brenda is responsible for nurturing donor relationships, staying well-versed on donor strategies, and building a solid foundation to protect Lake Tahoe by facilitating philanthropic donations to the League.
Brenda joined the League in 2022 with a background in brand management, environmental data analysis and outdoor advocacy. She is a graduate from the University of Nevada Reno with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a minor in Environmental Science. Her college research focused on natural resource management and the use of indigenous knowledge to mitigate natural disasters like wildfires or tropical cyclones, both locally and abroad.
Brenda is a Bay Area native from Santa Clara, California, and moved to Nevada in 2017. She spends her free time tending to over 40 house plants, camping in the Great Basin with her significant other, and spoiling her Shih Tzu Mari and calico kitty Nisa.
