Charles Schreck
Charles joined the Associate Board in the spring of 2023. In his role, Charles looks forward to supporting the organization’s initiatives, fostering partnerships, and coordinating events throughout the Tahoe region. He is dedicated to preserving and protecting the Lake and doing his part to Keep Tahoe Blue.
Charles earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Delaware. He was a member of the Varsity lacrosse team and was later drafted to play professionally. Charles works for a technology start-up, working with clients globally to provide customized, data-driven revenue management solutions. He also serves as the President of the Abelard Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting grassroots organizations furthering initiatives in healthcare, education or the environment.
Originally from Menlo Park, Charles grew up skiing, hiking, swimming, and biking in Tahoe. In his early teens, Charles’ family moved to a small farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia, which strengthened his love for nature and outdoor recreation. Charles’ passion for the Tahoe region was reignited when he returned home to San Francisco in early 2022. An avid skier, hiker, and biker, most weekends, you can find Charles in Tahoe enjoying his favorite place and the incredible backcountry of the Tahoe basin.
