Lake Tahoe has a special vibe. My first ever job was in Homewood back in 2004. It was a massive winter and I had the chance to ski, work, meet interesting people and travel around the area. It was a fantastic life experience that I will never forget.
Life has twists and turns, and after earning a BSc in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes and an MSc in Environment and Development from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, I co-founded Chile Lagos Limpios in 2019. The organization is an NGO with the mission of working with all stakeholders to ensure that the lakes of Northern Patagonia balance economic development, community and natural resource conservation through a science-based and collaborative approach. The League is one of our international strategic partners and is helping us adapt Lake Tahoe’s best practices and models to address the multiple challenges we are facing in our lakes.
I am honored and excited to form part of the Forever Blue Council and continue strengthening the Chile-Tahoe relationship.
